February 28 - Dresden, Germany
WBO Intercontinental champion Timo Hoffman (WHB#30) successfully negotiated his first defence with a clear points victory over ex-contender Core "T-Rex" Sanders (WHB#50).
It was battle of truly big men, with 6'7" Hoffman's rangier boxing getting the better of 6' 6", 328lb Sanders' strength.
The German titleholder came through by wide scores of 118-109, 117-11 and 119-108 and moved to 29-3 (16).
Sanders, who ended the big-time career of Oleg Maskaev two years ago, now seems be settling into a trialhorse role. This was his fourth consecutive defeat in a 23-10 (15) career.
WBO Intercontinental champion Timo Hoffman (WHB#34) of Germany makes the second defence of his title when he tops a big bill in Berlin on January 10.

November 22, Riesa, Germany
German giant Timo Hoffman (WHB#49) claimed the vacant WBO Intercontinental title with a clear-cut points win over American spoiler Zuri Lawrence (WHB#UR).
Hoffman, 6'6" and 270lb, was too big and strong for Lawrence who, despite wins over Josh Imardiyi, Darroll Wilson, King Ipitan and Paolo Vidoz, has never scored an inside-schedule victory in his 18-9-4 career.
Hoffman triumphed by scores of 119-109 and 118-109, twice, to improve to 28-3 (16). It was his first fight since losing his IBF Intercontinental belt to veteran Henry Akinwande in an upset in May.
